Itumeleng Innocentia Banda also known as (KgosiGadi) is a 21 year old African female who resides in Alexandra Township situated North of Johannesburg, in South Africa.

In 2004 Itumeleng started her primary schooling at Rivonia Primary School and then progressed to Wendywood High School in 2011, where she completed her matric in 2015. Her High school years played a vital role in her life as High school was place that introduced her to public speaking, which grew from her just partaking and winning competitions to actually MCing sporting events at the school and expanding her love for the media industry. In 2016, Itumeleng decided to invest in her passion and started studying towards a BA degree in Film and Television at the University of Johannesburg and has now completed her degree and is expected to graduate in June.

Within the same year that she started University, Itumeleng eagerly wanted to have her foot
within the media industry and attended News Anchor auditions at Alex FM in which she came
out victorious and landed her first radio job at the age of 19. Whilst working as a news anchor
she was approached by the station’s Head of Imaging, Sammy Ramodike to do voice-overs which resulted in her being the female voice of the station.

In 2017 Itumeleng joined the AlexFM’s young reporter’s show Bigger Than Life, which was a platform that allowed her to interact with other young people who inspire change and are the voice of the voiceless within the community of Alexandra. Due the confidence she gained from Bigger Than Life she auditioned for the GauTV field reporter search which in which she won but unfortunately was unable to fulfil the opportunity due to her studies.

However, this did not stop Itumeleng from trying her luck and attending other auditions, as she then auditioned for Varsity TV and was selected as one of the four winners of the presenter search.

In 2018 Itumeleng joined UJFM where she was granted an opportunity to be a news anchor on the Drive show and due to her satisfying performance within four months the station gave
her her own show to host called The UJFM TOP30 Countdown. Within the same year she was invited by The International Congress of Youth Voices to represent South Africa in San Francisco for her youth activism as she was spotted on Youtube for a documentary that she did based on the affects gun violence has on her community.

Currently Banda is a soccer anchor at an online radio station named Massiv Metro where she does the #DiskiUpdates on The Dj Sbu Breakfast, she is a voice over artist and has recently started a Youtube channel where she interacts with soccer fans and allows them to share their views of the game.

While working on growing her brand, Itumeleng has hopes and aspirations of being one of the greatest radio and Tv personalities to come out of South Africa. aims to inspire and empower young and old people across the globe and make them understand that the world is filled of opportunities. However, they are opportunities that can only be grabbed and fulfilled through hard work, dedication and sacrifice.
