My love for garden has taught me a lot about life, purpose and value. How I met the love is a story for another day and a birth of so many experiences and stories to tell.

I usually throw away decomposed vegetables and fruits in my garden, for no particular reason. Just to avoid the garbage bin to stink before it’s collected. What’s the use of keeping useless things right?

I’m reminded of a statement, “You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only option.” There’s strength within you, that you haven?t used yet…simply because the situation has not presented itself, to unveil that level of strength. The power and strength that you have on the inside, can propel you beyond what you face on the outside.

All my life I have been in love with simply how things are, from television, to movies, to book, music and everything in between

I think this is all thanks to the diversity in culture that I grew up under; I was always encouraged to learn new things, go on adventures and I was also encouraged to learn to fail, a lot.

Sprint VS Marathon

Every year or so, I pay a visit to the optometrist to check my vision. I wear glasses because I have a challenge in seeing far distances, especially when driving at night. During a visit, the optometrist will examine my sight via routine exams, to fine tune my vision, so that I can see clearly.

Various trials, challenges, and tribulations have tried to blur your vision.

It’s really great reading the Mail and Guardians Top 200 Influential Young People of the year, seeing the likes of DJ Sbu on this list makes us feel so warm inside thinking the future of SA is in safe hands. Our country has a 62% majority of the youth in relation to the whole population. That directly means that 32.24 Million people in South Africa are under the age of 35. We influence the future of tomorrow. However we are failing dismally not because we don’t have talented youth but because the mind set of these youth members are not where they supposed to be.

@ashofceremonies say Entrepreneurship is the process of starting a business, a start-up company or other organization.

The entrepreneur develops a business plan, acquires the human and other required resources, and is fully responsible for its success or failure.

The definition above states a lot of aspects of entrepreneurship that many small company CEOs/owners do not notice. I was reading an article when I was prompted to search the definition of Entrepreneurship.

“You can be related to people who you don’t relate to”

Perception: Family

A family is a group consisting of two parents and their children, living together as a unit. Family is a single word with different meanings and families differ in terms of economic, cultural and social circumstances, but what every family has in common, is that the people  who call it a family are making clear that those people are important in some way to the person calling them his or her family.  Extended family is simply a family unit that exceeds past the nuclear family to include other relatives like aunts, uncles.

Most of the times we wait for approval or seek validation for our dreams and success. We then forget that it is not about them but about you the owner of the dreams and the driver of your purpose. No-one can tell your story like you or live your dreams.

I recently had an experience that I hope you will learn from cause I did. For the past year I have been trying to get an article published, I seeked for positive criticism from friends, family, ex colleagues and even from those I regard as role models and mentors.

The word “entrepreneur” is being thrown around on the continent of Africa in almost every third sentence. This word has gained much popular consciousness in Africa over the past 15 years. So let’s define what the word “Entrepreneur” means. According to the Oxford Dictionary, entrepreneur is defined as A person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit.

There is a whole lot of noise in the air when it comes to entrepreneurship so much that it has gotten to be a common word amongst the unemployed; to set things straight you are an entrepreneur if you are in constant pursuit of changing the economy for the better by innovative business means and you are always thinking of ways in which to develop and set a foundation for those that will come after you.
